View: Rangers surely out of their minds after midfielder transfer latest, Rohl can't let it happen
Joe Rothwell will likely admit that his move from Bournemouth to Rangers has been a failure so far.
The 31-year-old was bought last summer by the Gers for an undisclosed fee after an impressive campaign on loan with Leeds United, helping them win promotion to the Premier League.
Rothwell now seems surplus to requirements at Ibrox, with the Light Blues open to his exit just a few months after signing him.
The Glaswegian outfit have already seen the likes of Lyall Cameron and Kieran Dowell depart, but further movement is expected before the 2 February deadline.

Joe Rothwell exit must be delayed as Rangers ready to agree cut-price fee
Rangers are ready to accept a cut-price fee for Rothwell, with Wrexham the latest club to enter the race for his signature.
The EFL Championship outfit are looking to add more quality in depth to their squad as they push for Premier League promotion.
With Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds at the helm of the Welsh club, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them being able to match the midfielder’s possible wage demand.
The Englishman has struggled in Scotland, but it wasn’t long ago that he helped Leeds win promotion, something Wrexham will surely be considering.

Despite Rothwell’s move to Ibrox not working out so far, the Light Blues would surely be out of their minds to sell him at this moment.
Connor Barron’s injury has left Rohl short on options in the engine room, and while Tochi Chukwuani has been signed, the Danish youngster will arguably need time to get used to Scottish football.
Danny Rohl can’t allow Ibrox departure without Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises demand
Tromso midfielder Jens-Hjerto Dahl was a top target for Rangers at the start of January, but the noise around his possible move to Govan has disappeared.
The Gers are currently in hot pursuit of a striker at Ibrox, with the most prominent name currently reported being Hansa Rostock centre-forward Ryan Naderi.

It makes sense to push for a new number nine with Danilo’s future uncertain at Ibrox, but a new midfielder should also be on the Glaswegian outfit’s agenda if they’re serious about selling Rothwell.
The only way the Light Blues can likely justify the midfielder’s exit is if they add a new number six to their ranks before the transfer window commences.
