View: Rohl surely given no significant reason to sign on-loan Rangers players after what he says today
Andreas Skov Olsen is fighting for his future at Rangers ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Denmark international signed for the Gers on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in January, with an option to buy him for £8.6million at the end of the season included in the deal.
Danny Rohl has admitted ahead of the Celtic game in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on 8 March that the Light Blues have made no decision on the 26-year-old’s future yet.
Going by Skov Olsen’s statistics and record at the Govan side since moving to G51, the German manager surely hasn’t been given an eye-catching reason to pull the trigger on a permanent transfer.

Andreas Skov Olsen season by numbers at Rangers
Skov Olsen was one of the most exciting prospects at Club Brugge before moving to Wolfsburg.
In Germany, the Danish winger failed to make a mark and live up to expectations, and he’s now at Ibrox to revive his career.
Fans in G51 were excited when a deal for the forward was announced, but they’ve been left underwhelmed, with the on-loan star unable to make a big impact in the William Hill Premiership.
The Wolfsburg loanee has made six league appearances for the Light Blues, scoring one goal and providing two assists, with 0.5 shots on target per game and missing one big chance, as per Sofascore.
Supporters have been underwhelmed to see Skov Olsen’s lack of quality in the final third, especially his reluctance to take on defenders, with 0.7 successful dribbles per game, completing 57 per cent of them.
The Denmark international has also lost possession 7.8 times on average, leading to frustration among the fanbase in Govan.
What did Danny Rohl say about signing Andreas Skov Olsen at Ibrox?
Rohl is happy Rangers don’t have to decide on Skov Olsen just yet, indicating that he hasn’t been convinced by the forward’s performances.
Speaking to the media on 6 March, the German manager said, “I think the good thing is we have this option after the season. I don’t have to think about this now. We know and we saw in moments which parts he can help us, especially in the final third. I think he is also very tactically intelligent.
“You see this, but he will also agree that there is still more to come. This is what we try to bring out of him as soon as possible.”
If the Danish attacker is unable to convince the Glaswegian outfit that he’s worth £8.6m, he will undoubtedly return to Wolfsburg at the end of the season.
