View: TFG surely on high alert as Everton-linked PL wonderkid's exit 'cannot be ruled out' in new update
Everton were linked with Ethan Nwaneri in the winter window, and the prospect of him joining David Moyes’ side this summer may now be intensifying by the day.
The Arsenal star’s struggles at Marseille have been reported in recent days, with some suggesting that the Toffees should go back in for him.
However, the idea that the Gunners would ever let their homegrown wonderkid leave was always seen as unrealistic, despite the need for sales this summer.
Everton will try to make new signings in the summer, and in new developments, it now seems like Mikel Arteta’s side may not have as firm a stance on Nwaneri as first thought, leaving the door for a switch to Hill Dickinson Stadium wide open.

Ethan Nwaneri’s chance for Arsenal exit now real amid Everton interest
Everton’s interest in Nwaneri was well-documented, but the title-chasing side decided to loan their right-winger out to Marseille instead.
Now, The Telegraph have reported on Tuesday that the prospect of Nwaneri leaving the Premier League side permanently this summer “cannot be ruled out”, following development struggles in France.
This has been intensified by the recent rise of Max Dowman, who featured in the Gunners’ FA Cup win over Mansfield Town on Saturday, and who plays in the Everton-linked star’s position.
- Dowman is 16-years-old
- The Gunners already have him, Noni Madueke, and Bukayo Saka in the right-wing spot
Many Arsenal supporters are said to be concerned about the risk of Nwaneri being left behind at the Emirates Stadium.
The chances of Everton going back in for the now 18-year-old may rest heavily on whether they trigger their option to buy Tyrique George this summer.

Even more so, the potential sale of Iliman Ndiaye could also raise the necessary funds needed to sign Arsenal’s bright attacker.
What Nwaneri’s Arsenal contract means for Everton; it’s positive
Many Toffees fans would most likely question the chance of Nwaneri actually coming to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the summer, but if the Friedkin Group spent £40million on Tyler Dibling, they could splash out more for the Arsenal man.
However, if they do go back in for the teenager only to be met with too high an asking price for Arteta’s young gem, they have a loan advantage on their side.

Nwaneri is contracted to Arsenal until 2030, meaning a permanent signing would likely be quite steep.
However, considering his struggles in France with Marseille, the Gunners may be tempted to see what he can do with meaningful Premier League minutes.
Not only that, but the Friedkin Group could ask to pay less of his wages in contract negotiations, while discussing a possible loan move, as he is most likely returning to England out of form, but still full of talent for Moyes to utilise.
