Thomas Frank could face the sack at Tottenham if things don’t improve against West Ham.

The Hammers have a 1-0 lead going in at the break after one-time Tottenham transfer target Crysencio Summerville found the net.

The Lilywhites haven’t been helped after the exit-linked Tottenham man Ben Davies was stretchered off injured after 19 minutes.

January signing Conor Gallagher has struggled for Tottenham on his debut, with the hosts lacking any positivity on the pitch.

Defeat against West Ham could prove to be the end of Frank in N17, so making a change to take Pedro Porro off could be wise.

Pedro Porro to blame for West Ham opener

Porro has been poor for Tottenham in recent weeks, and that didn’t change in the opening 45 minutes against the Irons.

The Spaniard has struggled against Summerville and has looked far from comfortable when defending one-on-one against the Dutchman.

The West Ham goalscorer is well-known for featuring off the left with the desire to cut in and get shots away on his stronger right foot.

It seems that Porro never got that message as he allowed the 24-year-old to cut in and eventually find the back of the net.

His effort may have been deflected, but that is no excuse for the Spurs right-back and his lack of defensive nous.

Porro has been poor for Tottenham vs West Ham

Not only has the defender cost his side heavily for the opener, but he has also been generally poor in all areas of the pitch.

The 26-year-old has taken on seven attempted crosses, but has completed just one of those with a horrendous 14 per cent success rate.

That isn’t helped by just four passes into the final third and a lowly 0.06 expected assists for a full-back who is famed for his attacking talents.

Porro’s defensive showing hasn’t been any better, with just one defensive contribution being added to by just two successful duels out of four attempts.

This sort of performance is going to seriously cost the Lilywhites and if Frank doesn’t do anything about it, he seriously risks facing the sack tonight.
