Pedro Porro showed his quality as Tottenham secured a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
Thomas Frank finally has a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium victory after Spurs beat Dortmund in the Champions League.
Cristian Romero’s opener was helped by Julian Brandt, who allowed Wilson Odobert to steal in and gave the skipper an opportunity to find the net.
Things were made easier when Daniel Svensson was sent off for Dortmund, before Dominic Solanke went on to net the winner.
Even with all that action, Ally McCoist was just as impressed with one moment of class from Porro as anything else in North London.
Pedro Porro touch vs Borussia Dortmund stuns Ally McCoist
Porro has struggled for Tottenham in recent weeks, but looked much-improved against the Bundesliga outfit in N17.
The Spaniard wasn’t alone in his level-up with various stars hitting better notes than they have been in games gone by under Frank.
The second half ebbed away in the end and ironically could have been wrapped up by the right-back if he’d shown more composure.
He went through on goal, but two poor touches hampered his chances of getting a shot off in hugely frustrating circumstances.
Luckily for the Spaniard, he had left the N17 faithful, and McCoist impressed earlier on in the clash as he took a touch that left the Scot astounded.
The ball was dropping from some height and ended with a shot being taken inside the Dortmund penalty area, much to the delight of the TNT Sports pundit.
He said: “How did Porro touch that out of the sky? That’s brilliant.“
Porro was much improved for Tottenham vs Dortmund
It’s fair to say Porro had arguably his best performance in a long time at just the right time from Frank’s perspective in N17.
The Spaniard was electric at times down the right flank as he was able to get up and down the pitch with relative ease.
That saw him create two chances and maintain an 81 per cent pass accuracy, with three of his five attempted crosses finding their destination.

That was only helped by his defensive work rate, with his numbers showing some excellent progress from weeks gone by.
The former Sporting Lisbon man registered two tackles, six clearances and five interceptions, which played a key role in keeping a Champions League clean sheet.
Porro also added three duels to his showcase, but arguably his shining moment came with a stellar first touch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
