Will Lankshear exit fears emerge at Tottenham as Championship clubs circle
Tottenham Hotspur are bracing for summer interest in Will Lankshear as Middlesbrough and Wrexham monitor his situtation.
The 20-year-old Tottenham academy graduate is currently enjoying a fruitful loan spell in the Championship with relegation-threatened Oxford United.
Lankshear spent the second half of last season on loan with West Brom, but failed to register a single goal contribution in 11 games for the Baggies.
However, Lankshear joined Oxford on a season-long loan in the summer, and is starting to prove himself as being a very handy player at second tier level this term.

Middlesbrough and Wrexham eye Will Lankshear moves
According to a report from Football League World on Monday, both Middlesbrough and Wrexham are keeping tabs on Lankshear ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s claimed that the pair of Championship promotion-chasers are plotting to make their moves when the transfer market re-opens in June.
Middlesbrough currently sit second in the Championship, four points clear of Millwall in third, whilst Wrexham are sixth, three points clear inside the play-off places to Derby in seventh respectively.
Lankshear could play a big role for Spurs if the Lilywhites were to be relegated this season, given that he’s got Championship experience under his belt now, with eight goals and one assist for Oxford this term.
Lankshear will want Tottenham first-team assurances
Having now gotten a taste for regular senior football at a good level, Lankshear surely won’t want to give that up now moving forward.
Therefore, the young centre-forward will surely be looking to Tottenham to provide him with some assurances that if he sticks around in N17 beyond this summer, he will have a big part to play.
If not, then a move to either one of Wrexham or Middlesbrough – two ambitious and on the up Championship sides – would be hard for him to turn down.
Middlesbrough are reported to have been interested in Lankshear previously, and he must look at the football Kim Hellberg’s side are playing and back himself to score plenty of goals on Teesside.
On the other hand, Wrexham are becoming a club that many players want to play for given the media attention, and the visible ambition being shown by their Hollywood ownerhsip.
