Abdul Fatawu has been linked with Everton in recent weeks after Leicester City’s relegation to League One was confirmed.

According to Fotmob on 29 April, he is averaging 0.22 goals, 2.71 shots, a 0.12 xG, 0.17 assists and 2.78 successful dribbles per game.

The key stat here is his xG-to-goals ratio, with Fatawu netting four more goals than expected of him this season in the Championship.

This is a very impressive feat, with the attacker clearly taking most of his opportunities, even if they are difficult to score, which could be a key difference-maker.

As a result, given his clinical eye for goal, combined with his creative output and dribbling ability, the winger will no doubt be an instant success at the Toffees if they choose to sign him in the summer.

Who else is linked to Fatawu?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Fatawu is also wanted by Sunderland this summer.

The Ghana international is keen on a move to the Premier League, with multiple clubs interested in his services.

Everton and Sunderland are both ready to reignite their previous interest in the 22-year-old, while sources say that the attacker will be one of Leicester’s first sales if they fall into League One.

The winger is adamant that he cannot drop into the third tier, and if Everton want to bring him in, they will have to fend off interest from Sunderland.

However, it remains to be seen if one of the two clubs win the race for his signature, or if another team will come out of the dark to secure the transfer in the summer.
