Andy Robertson all but confirms Tottenham move after what he just did at Liverpool
Andy Robertson looks destined to join Tottenham before the end of the winter transfer window.
It was revealed on Friday that Tottenham had made a shock approach for Robertson and were moving to bring in the Scotland international.
Spurs had originally planned to pursue the left-back in the summer, with his Liverpool contract expiring at the end of this season, but they have now accelerated their interest.
Thomas Frank’s side could be able to sign Robertson for as little as £5million, and negotiations between all parties are continuing as the transfer deadline closes in.

Andy Robertson waves goodbye to Liverpool fans
Tottenham drew 2-2 with Burnley on what was a miserable Saturday for Frank, but the Dane may have cheered up slightly after what happened as Liverpool faced Bournemouth on the south coast.
Robertson was included in Arne Slot’s squad as the Premier League champions made the trip to Vitality Stadium, and was brought on at half-time with the visitors 2-1 down.
Dominik Szoboszlai eventually levelled the scores with 10 minutes remaining, before Amine Adli smashed home a dramatic late winner for Bournemouth.
According to Liverpool journalist Lewis Steele, Robertson appeared to give a little wave to the travelling Reds supporters before he exited the pitch.
The Tottenham-linked defender was the last player standing by the away end, in what could have been his final appearance for the Merseyside outfit.
Spurs fans will be hoping that it was a wave goodbye, and that Robertson will now be making the move to North London.
Why do Tottenham need Andy Robertson?
Tottenham completed the signing of Brazilian left-back Souza from Santos on Thursday, which makes their pursuit of Robertson slightly more confusing.
Souza will undoubtedly need time to settle into the Premier League though, while Robertson is ready to contribute immediately.
The Liverpool defender would also come in to replace Ben Davies, who suffered a broken ankle during Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United last Saturday.
Robertson would not only provide Premier League experience and quality, but would also bring superb leadership to a currently weak Spurs side.
However, if Frank believes that the signing of a 31-year-old left-back will solve all his problems, he is very much mistaken.
