Ange Postecoglou officially starts new role in latest job post-Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou has certainly not wasted any time in getting stuck back in since being sacked by Tottenham in the summer.
Postecoglou won the Europa League with Tottenham in May, ending the North London club’s wait for silverware, but was sacked 16 days later.
The Australian has since been appointed by Nottingham Forest, where he lasted just 39 days in what was a disastrous return to the dugout.
Postecoglou has since been linked with the Celtic job and many other top positions in the UK and further afield.
But the 60-year-old has already quietly gone about finding another new position, which he officially started this week.

Ange Postecoglou begins new role with UEFA
Some Tottenham fans would like to see Postecoglou back given Thomas Frank’s struggles since replacing him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And it may well be that the Aussie is back in North London before too long, albeit in a slightly different vantage point to usual.
That is because Postecoglou this week started his role as a member of UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel.
Ange was technically appointed around the time of his arrival at Forest, but that job understandably took priority.
But with Postecoglou out of work, he was at San Siro on Tuesday to watch Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Postecoglou was tasked with compiling a report that focused on tactics, coaching and playing styles.
The report was posted on UEFA’s official website, with Postecoglou giving particular praise to Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus for his “goalscorer’s instincts”.

Gareth Southgate, Rafael Benitez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Roberto Martinez and Roy Hodgson were also appointed by UEFA for the 2025-26 season.
What job is Postecoglou most likely to take on next?
This seems like a cushty job on the face of it for Postecoglou, who gets to keep a foot in the game without the stress that management brings.
However, it seems certain he will be back managing again very soon indeed as his sackings at Tottenham and Forest are unlikely to have put him off too much.
Postecoglou has been mentioned as a contender for the Man United job, as fanciful as that sounds on the face of it.
He is also in the running to become Palace’s next boss when Oliver Glasner departs at the end of the season – or perhaps even before then.
But it appears the Celtic job might be the most appealing of the lot for Ange, given his previous success there and the fact the Scottish giants are searching for a new manager.
Time will tell, but Spurs fans will certainly wish their Europa League-winning manager all the success in the world should he not end up at a direct rival.
