Arsenal have been tipped to change the course of their history if they win the Champions League final this season, with a transfer like Kylian Mbappe perhaps within their reach.
That’s the view of former Gunners midfielder Emmanuel Petit, who believes there could be a chance of Mbappe leaving Real Madrid this summer.

Still, overall he feels it’s probably not realistic, even if Arsenal’s status would be transformed by finally winning the European Cup.
Mbappe would undoubtedly be a dream signing for Arsenal after so many world class performances throughout his career, even if he also comes with a big ego.

Mbappe has 85 goals in 100 games for Real Madrid, but it’s also true that his move to the Bernabeu hasn’t been entirely successful so far.
The France international’s future seems in some doubt at the moment, and this has led to Petit to call for AFC to snap him up if they win the Champions League.

“If Arsenal win the Champions League for the first time then it would change the course of their history and send a strong message in the transfer market,” Petit is quoted by the Sun.
“Players would of course want to play for the Champions League winners and hope they can go and win it again, it would help them attract Kylian Mbappe if he does leave Real Madrid.”

The only downside to this deal is the price, while Mbappe is also not the youngest, but he’s an elite goal-scorer who can also provide an option on the left-hand side of a front three.
The 27-year-old would be a huge upgrade on the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz up front, and on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left.
