David Moyes 'to get his man' as Everton on course to complete deadline-busting deal - report
Everton are closing in on their first winter signing, just hours before the transfer deadline.
Everton have been one of the least active Premier League clubs in the winter window, despite the need for several areas of the squad to be reinforced with new quality.
And that was only amplified after the news of Jack Grealish’s season-ending injury.
The Toffees have been linked with several attacking signings to replace the on-loan Man City star, and as per the latest update from Sky Sports, that deal is now edging closer.

Everton close in on Tyrique George signing
Iliman Ndiaye has been the star of Everton’s season, and his absence throughout AFCON was dearly felt.
Tyler Dibling has failed to showcase his worth since his move from Southampton, while Dwight McNeil has also done nothing to warrant a place in the squad, nevermind the starting 11.
As a result, Everton made an approach to sign Tyrique George, and were able to reach a full agreement with Chelsea over a loan-to-buy deal.
A medical has already been booked for the young winger, with Dharmesh Sheth sharing the latest on his proposed move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Via Sky Sports News, he said: “Everton were in the market to bring in a winger, that’s after Jack Grealish was effectively ruled out for the rest of the season, he’s of course on loan from Manchester City.

“They’re focusing now on Tyrique George from Chelsea, we do know that he has travelled up to have that medical, time is ticking though. It’s a loan with an option to buy, and it looks like David Moyes, all being well, will get his man.”
The transfer window closes at 7pm on Monday night, leaving the Toffees two hours to get the deal over the line.

What else could Everton do in final hours?
Signing a striker was a priority for Everton, but as things stand, that looks rather unlikely to happen.
Jorgen Strand Larsen was loosely linked with the Toffees throughout January, though the Norwegian looks destined for a move to Crystal Palace, having already completed a medical.
Regarding outgoings, several of those could still be sanctioned.
McNeil has been mooted for a departure from the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but Harrison Armstrong looks set to stay.
The latter was linked with a return to Preston, but Moyes has decided against allowing that move to progress, with the teenager set to play his part in the Premier League.
