Dejan Kulusevski’s long-awaited return may never come as Tottenham star spotted limping

Dejan Kulusevski continues to have Tottenham Hotspur supporters worried about when he may return from his long-term injury.

The 25-year-old has not featured since May 2025 against Crystal Palace, having to be replaced by Mikey Moore after just 19 minutes, and fans have all but forgotten about the winger since.

Despite Igor Tudor’s arrival, Spurs are sitting just one point above the Premier League relegation zone, and the club have gone through three managers since Kulusevski was sidelined.

Tottenham’s injury list has had a huge impact on the team’s season, with James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, and Rodrigo Bentancur all still sidelined. It could be much worse for the Sweden international.

Dejan Kulusevski concerns beginning to ramp up at Tottenham

Kulusevski had long been linked with a departure from North London before his season-ending injury.

Over 10 months later, and supporters still haven’t seen the 25-year-old back on the pitch, with new footage of the winger now sparking fears that he may never feature for Spurs again.

The player, in fact, was spotted limping when meeting up with the Sweden national team during the international break, images which have even brought a tear to some eyes.

Having notched 10 goals and 11 assists during the 2024-25 campaign, there is absolutely no doubt that he would have a massive say in Spurs’ season right now, but he remains sidelined, sadly.

The circus in North London continues, with Football Insider understanding that Tottenham are set to sack Tudor in the coming days, adding to the already disastrous situation.

Losing Kulusevski permanently would also be another major blow, when supporters have been waiting patiently for his return to the pitch, but his exit is being seriously feared.

Whether it’s to get a new start once he recovers, or even if he’s unable to play professionally again, Spurs fans are beginning to accept that they might not see him on the pitch again.

Of course, this is all speculation, and the player will be pushing to return as soon as he possibly can, but with total silence around him, thoughts are running wild in the fans’ minds.
