Dominic Solanke sends three-word message after another new Tottenham injury update
Dominic Solanke has sent a message of support to Tottenham Hotspur teammate Xavi Simons as injury issues continue to mount.
Both Solanke and Simons were forced off with injuries in Tottenham’s crucial 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday as they ended their 15-game winless run.
On Sunday, it emerged that Dutch international Simons had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, a blow which ends his World Cup chances.
Simons may even have played his last game for Spurs, with the 23-year-old unlikely to stick around if Tottenham get relegated to the Championship.
As Tottenham wait for an update on Solanke’s injury, the striker has pledged his support to the heartbroken Simons.

One blow after another for Tottenham
Just when it looked like Tottenham were turning a corner with their win over Wolves, more bad luck has waylaid them.
Off the back of Simons and Solanke’s injuries, Tottenham now have a whopping nine players out injured as they try to stay in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s injury crisis Potential return Dejan Kulusevski (Knee) June Mohammed Kudus (Thigh) Unknown Wilson Odobert (Knee) Late November Guglielmo Vicario (Hernia) Early May Ben Davies (Ankle) Early May Cristian Romero (Knee) June Xavi Simons (ACL) December Dominic Solanke (Muscular) Unknown
In an emotional message on Instagram, Simons admitted this was a devastating blow, but he would continue to be as good a teammate as possible for 18th-placed Tottenham.
“They say life can be cruel, and today it feels that way,” he said. “My season has come to an abrupt end, and I’m just trying to process it. Honestly, I’m heartbroken. None of it makes sense.”
It seems Solanke is taking a leaf out of that book as he wished Simons the best with his recovery.
“With you, bro,” he wrote, which could be taken in several different ways.

After the Wolves match, De Zerbi confirmed Solanke has suffered a muscle injury, an issue that forced him off before half-time against Rob Edwards’ team.
The Italian was unsure how many games Solanke would miss, with just four fixtures of the league season to go.
The striker may yet return to play for Spurs, who are two points behind 17th-placed West Ham, this term.
Roberto De Zerbi faces mountain to climb
De Zerbi has been dealt a very difficult hand at Tottenham. If Spurs go down, most of the blame should not fall the way of the 46-year-old, who was parachuted in with seven games to go.
Indeed, De Zerbi did something that Tottenham hadn’t done since 28 December, namely, win a Premier League game.
If they are to get out of this mess, having their best players available would certainly help, but De Zerbi does not have that luxury.
Simons’ injury blow is another setback, but Tottenham have to move on from this and try to beat Aston Villa on Sunday, especially if they want to stay up.
