“My job to score” – Real Madrid, Barcelona on alert after Osimhen’s words in Fenerbahce victory

Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen was back amongst the goals in the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce, scoring the game's opening goal, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old last started a game on the 18th of March before last night. The fixture was against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, where he suffered a fractured forearm.

After undergoing surgery and going through his rehabilitation process with a physiotherapist, Osimhen was given the pass to feature in games, although he's still wearing a splint on the arm.

The former Napoli striker came off the bench on Wednesday in Galatasaray's Turkish Cup exit against Genclerbirligi, but was given a starting spot at RAMS Park last night.

Real Madrid, Barcelona alert after Osimhen's words

Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona have been linked with the Nigerian striker ahead of the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their respective squads for the 2026/2027 season.

Osimhen, following his goal against Fenerbahce last night, revealed he holds the ability to score against any team, a statement that'll catch the attention of his suitors, as that's a key feature they're looking out for.

“We disappointed our fans in the game there. I'm proud of the game we're putting together with the team right now, and I'm happy about the win,” the 2023 CAF Player said in quotes revealed by Galatasaray's official website.

“You know, I believe I can score against any team. If luck comes, it's my job, and I think I'm doing it well.

However, he went further to say he has the utmost love and respect for Galatasaray, the fans, and the staff.

“I've said that many times, but I won't be tired of saying it. I'll say it over and over again.

“This club is a club that deserves my love and respect with its management, the coach, the fans and everyone around her.

“As long as I have the chance, I want to protect this coat of arms in every way. I'm really saying that from my heart.

“I want to fight every game in the best way, willingly, and I always want to protect this coat of arms. I also want to fight for my teammates,” Osimhen concluded.
