Everton 'can't afford' to wait for defender transfer, early move goes against his wishes - report
Marcos Senesi will be on the move this summer with Everton listed as one of his potential destinations.
The Bournemouth defender is a proven Premier League player, and snapping him up would be a real coup for the Toffees.
David Moyes does have a battle on his hands, with multiple teams chasing the signature of the Argentinian, who is out of contract within weeks.
Tottenham, Juventus, Fenerbahce and Aston Villa have all been linked in recent weeks and months as the transfer window nears.
However, ahead of Everton’s summer window, Senesi’s timeframe on his final decision may ultimately prove to be an issue.

When will Marcos Senesi decide his future?
Senesi represents a shrewd market opportunity for any prospective buyer, with the Argentine’s contract running out at the end of the season.
The Bournemouth defender will be available to sign on a free transfer, naturally increasing the appeal for his signature.
It is not a shock that Senesi has plenty of suitors this summer.

However, it could yet be quite a while until we find out where Senesi decides to commit his future to, despite Everton wanting to move quickly.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Senesi will not decide on his next club until after the 2026 World Cup. The 28-year-old is expected to travel with the reigning champions to compete in the tournament.

Additionally, while the report shares that the defender’s priority is to stay in the Premier League, Everton must be careful in their pursuit of the Bournemouth star.
As they may end up falling into a much unneeded trap, as it’s said they “can’t afford” to hold out for a future what-if.
Everton must get early Marcos Senesi answer
Everton will have their shortlist of centre-back signings drawn up, and if Senesi is on the list, they must do what they can to get an answer as soon as possible.
If the Blues wait until after the World Cup and the Argentine decides to move elsewhere, not only would they have wasted their own time, but any of their other targets could have been signed by then elsewhere.
Qualification for European football could be a defining factor in convincing Senesi before that timeline.

With that potential for Europe, it would come with more matches. The squad will need an overhaul, and the Friedkin Group must not allow themselves to be dragged along in any transfer saga.
Senesi would be an excellent signing, but he is not the only player out there who could improve this side.
