Everton hope star's desperation for Hill Dickinson move will help negotiations - report

Everton are expected to hold negotiations with Manchester City for Jack Grealish at the end of the season.

According to The i Paper on 30 April, the Toffees are confident of getting a deal over the line to extend the England international’s stay at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The news outlet reports that the Blues are hoping for another loan move, with the 30-year-old desperate to return to L3.

It’s been claimed that the Merseyside outfit believe the forward’s desire to continue playing for the Merseyside outfit will help during talks with the Cityzens.

Grealish has found joy under David Moyes and The Friedkin Group should make the Englishman’s move their priority as soon as the 2025-26 campaign concludes.

Everton prospects would have been much different with a fit Jack Grealish

Grealish’s injury has been a bitter blow for Moyes, with the Scottish manager unable to bring the best out of the Toffees without him.

The England international was arguably the Blues’ best player before picking up an unfortunate foot injury in January, which required surgery.

There were talks of the forward potentially getting back into the Three Lions’ squad for the World Cup after reigniting his career at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but that looks unlikely now.

TFG pulled off an unexpected deal for Grealish last summer and the American owners should use his soon-to-be-expiring contract at Man City to pull off a bargain transfer.

If Grealish were to return to Everton in the upcoming transfer window, the likes of Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling may be looking for a way out.

Game time has been hard to come by for the former Burnley and Southampton attackers this season and that would probably continue with the Man City loanee’s return.

It also wouldn’t make sense for Tyrique George to continue at the Merseyside outfit behind Grealish in the pecking order, despite showing glimpses of his talent on loan.

There may be significant changes to Moyes’ squad in the summer if the England international makes his way back to L3.
