Everton 'keeping a close eye' on 9-cap int'l ace who has PL bonus - journalist
Enzo Boyomo is on Everton’s shortlist this summer transfer window.
The Toffees will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season with defensive reinforcements likely at the fore.
The Blues need new additions in both fullback positions, while improving in central defence would certainly not be turned down.
David Moyes’ side have been linked with plenty of defenders in the last few months, with John Stones and Nathan Ake among them.
However, ahead of Everton’s transfer window, they have now set eyes on a centre-back away from England.

What has been said about Everton’s interest in Enzo Boyomo?
Everton are currently fighting for European places, and if that is achieved, they will need a much bigger squad next season.
As it stands, Moyes has four centre-backs already at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but one of them – Jake O’Brien – is typically played at right-back.
Enzo Boyomo for Osasuna in La Liga 2025-2026 Total Appearances 26 Duel success 55% Clean sheets 5 Balls recovered per game 4.4 Clearances per game 4.0
However, the Toffees seem set on adding to their ranks in that department this season.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Everton are one of a number of Premier League clubs “keeping a close eye” on the defender.
Competition from Brighton and Sunderland, as well as Serie A club COMO, can be expected in the summer window.
Transfermarkt currently has Boyomo listed around the £17million range, but it remains to be seen how much Osasuna could demand for the defender.
Everton are said to be in for Stones, but Boyomo could be an alternative and younger option at just 24 years old.
How Enzo Boyomo would count as a homegrown player for Everton
Despite being born in France and making nine caps for the Cameroonian national team, Boyomo would count as a homegrown player for Everton.
From 2016 to 2020, the defender spent his developmental years in the academy of Blackburn Rovers. Due to the homegrown criteria, this would count for the 24-year-old.

Homegrown rules dictate players count if they were registered with any club affiliated to the FA for at least 3 years before the end of the season in which they turn 21.
So, the arrival of Boyomo would come with an added bonus. Before this season began, the Toffees were above their homegrown quota, meaning they could submit a 25-man squad but instead opted for just a 23-man shortlist.
Then in January, that dropped to just 22 players, with 11 of them as homegrown. Nonetheless, having as many as possible to help bolster the squad is ideal.
