Everton have had a quiet January transfer window so far, but there could still be several developments before the deadline.

David Moyes has continuously repeated that he doesn’t want to lose too many players from his squad, with the Toffees already suffering from depth issues.

With Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye still not back from the Africa Cup of Nations, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall out with injury, the Merseyside outfit are light in a number of positions.

Despite the current issues though, Tim Iroegbunam is still being linked with a move away from Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Serie A heavyweights consider move for Tim Iroegbunam

Tim Iroegbunam has impressed for Everton at times this season, proving to be a solid option for Moyes in the centre of midfield.

With Gueye away at AFCON with Senegal, the 22-year-old has started each of the last five Premier League games for the Toffees, even grabbing an assist in the 1-1 draw with Wolves.

However, the young Englishman – used 19 times by Moyes this season – could now be set for a surprise exit in the January transfer window.

According to Calciomercato.it, multiple-time European winners AC Milan are considering a move for Iroegbunam, in their push for the Serie A title.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side are just three points adrift of arch-rivals Inter, who currently sit top of the table.

Milan’s pursuit of Iroegbunam is at an early stage though, as they see a striker and a centre-back as more pressing concerns this month.

Who could Everton sign this month?

With Beto and Thierno Barry failing to kick into gear so far this season, Everton are desperate to sign a new striker before the end of the January window.

Fenerbahce centre-forward Youssef En-Nesyri is one man on Moyes’ radar, as the Scot looks to solve the Toffees’ goalscoring issues.

Everton have had a loan bid for En-Nesyri accepted by the Turkish giants, but are still to convince the Moroccan international to make the switch to Merseyside.

It would cost Moyes’ side £3.9million to bring the 28-year-old in until the end of the season, with a £17.3m option to buy included in the deal.

En-Nesyri is currently preparing for the AFCON final with Morocco, where he will face off against Senegal and prospective new teammates Gueye and Ndiaye.
