Everton stars react on social media as James Garner sends message
Dwight McNeil’s Everton future has been in the air this month.
McNeil was expected to leave Everton early in the window, with interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Wolves
David Moyes confirmed that he intends to keep the former Burnley winger around, and seemed to suggest that he was going nowhere.
Now, McNeil has reacted to the latest contract announcement at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

James Garner sends Everton message as contract agreed
James Garner has extended his stay at Everton, warding off transfer interest from elsewhere.
Garner took to Instagram on 23 January to confirm the new contract and share how happy he was to commit his future to the club.
He said: “So happy to extend my stay, I’ve felt the love since I’ve been here !! Especially this season, let’s push for more.”
Current Blues stars, including McNeil, James Tarkowski, Harrison Armstrong, Idrissa Gueye, Jarrad Branthwaite and Michael Keane reacted by liking the post.
Former Toffees Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom reacted in the same way.
Jake O’Brien also liked it and commented, saying “Love ittt” with a blue heart emoji
Tim Iroegbunam did the same, commenting, “My brooooo” with the same emoji

Why Everton simply had to keep Garner
The fact that Garner has signed a new deal will be a huge relief to Evertonians everywhere and Moyes himself.
Garner has transformed himself into an elite-level midfielder, with shouts for the England World Cup squad in the summer, with Thomas Tuchel surely keeping a close eye on him.
The Blues man is one of only a few English players to have made 20+ tackles, 20+ interceptions and created 20+ chances this season, ranking alongside the likes of Declan Rice and Adam Wharton.
The others in that list will likely be in the squad, so surely the Toffees star should be on the plane for the tournament alongside them.
His impact on the side has been clear in this campaign, and he is capable of filling in at right-back or left-back if they get injuries in those positions.
For now though, his focus will be on performing as well as he can for Everton, so he can put himself in a position to be considered by Tuchel.
While supporters want flashy new additions added to the squad this month, resigning Garner may well have been the deal of the winter transfer window for Moyes’ side.
