Everton 'would dearly love' striker with 43 goals in 64 matches - report
Everton could do worse than adding Ivan Toney to their ranks in January.
Toney has been constantly linked with Everton ahead of the winter transfer window, as he looks to return to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old wants to give himself the best chance to return to Thomas Tuchel‘s England squad for the World Cup, and the Blues are desperate for a new forward.
A report from the i Paper on 1 January claims that the Toffees “would dearly love” to sign the ex-Brentford man.

Why Everton are unlikely to sign Toney even though they ‘love’ him
Toney’s wage demands were always going to be an issue for Everton, as he earns approximately £500,000-a-week in Saudi Arabia.
The report states that the financials do not work for the Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit when it comes to a potential deal for the forward.

It is a shame for David Moyes, as the seven-cap Three Lions ace has notched 43 goals in 64 matches since moving to the Arab Peninsula, so he clearly still knows where the back of the net is.
What strikers could Everton sign in the winter window?
If a deal for Toney is not possible, the Blues will surely pivot to another option as their current forwards are not pulling up any trees.
Beto has notched just one goal in the league this season, while Thierno Barry took his tally to two with his strike against Nottingham Forest last time out.
Barry could now kick on and fulfil his potential, but Beto seems like a lost cause and may even depart, with interest from West Ham.
Roma striker Artem Dovbyk seems to be the most likely target at the moment, as links with Joshua Zirkzee and Samu Aghehowa have gone dark in recent weeks.
The Ukrainian has notched two goals in 10 Serie A appearances this campaign, but he grabbed 12 strikes last season in 32 matches.
The winter window is a difficult one to get right, but the Toffees need a new forward if they are to achieve their goals, as they currently do not score enough.
