Expert: Liverpool make Rio Ngumoha transfer plan after what Arne Slot said
Liverpool will be prepared to accept loan offers for Rio Ngumoha at the end of the season as they are keen for him to have more regular game-time.
The 17-year-old has started just three of his 17 appearances this season, and while he has been involved in their last three league games, his minutes have been limited.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot has publicly called on the winger to prove his worth to the team and questioned fans’ calls for him to be involved more.
As a result, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool could allow Ngumoha to leave on a temporary basis next season.
A number of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the teenager’s situation, while Liverpool are planning to sign a new winger, putting his future in doubt.

Liverpool plan to accept Rio Ngumoha loan offer
Brown told Football Insider on 2 March that Slot’s comments about Ngumoha were “bizarre” and have led to questions about his place in his plans.
While the winger remains very highly-rated at Anfield and there are high hopes for his development, there is now a feeling he could benefit from a spell on loan.
“Ngumoha is obviously a very talented player,” Brown told Football Insider.
“Liverpool rate him very highly, they’ve got high hopes for his future and see him as being one of their star players over the next ten years or more.
“The problem is, the only way he can develop and improve is if he’s playing regular football, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to get that under Slot at the moment.
“Just playing 10, 15, 20 minutes here and there isn’t enough, he needs to be starting games, getting used to the pace, and learning how to perform at this level.
“I think there’s a good chance they could let him go out on loan next season just to get that playing time.
“A lot of Premier League clubs could benefit from having a player like him, and he would benefit from making that step and playing every week.

“Then, long-term, he can return to the Liverpool team as a better and more experienced player.
“If the manager has doubts about trusting him or whatever it is at the moment, it could be a good way to get around that without it impacting his development.
“Plus, if they go out and bring a new winger in it’s going to push him even further away from the starting XI. If that happens, I’m sure he will be allowed to go on loan.”
Are Liverpool planning to sign a new winger this summer?
Ngumoha’s future at Anfield could be directly impacted by that of Mohamed Salah, who is widely linked with a move away at the end of the season.
The 17-year-old has been tipped as the long-term successor to the Egypt international, but Liverpool are already making plans to sign a replacement.
Brown told Football Insider last month that Liverpool are interested in Anthony Gordon, and have been long-term admirers of the Newcastle winger.

Gordon’s potential arrival could have an impact on Ngumoha’s place in the side by pushing him further down the pecking order, with concerns now growing.
Should that happen, he will almost certainly be allowed to leave on loan to gain playing experience away from Liverpool on a short-term basis.
