Gary Neville completely out of touch after Thomas Frank developments at Tottenham

Tottenham’s Premier League form has been miserable this season.

Tottenham drew 2-2 with Burnley on Saturday afternoon, and it’s become clear that Thomas Frank is out of his depth.

Frank is under severe pressure as fans continue to voice their discontent, and every poor result could now lead to his sacking.

Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League table, and their hopes of achieving Champions League football next season are basically non-existent.

However, Gary Neville continues to ignore what the real problem is at Tottenham.

Gary Neville continues to back Thomas Frank

After being appointed in the summer, Frank’s track record at Brentford left Spurs supporters optimistic that they could enjoy a successful season under his stewardship.

However, it’s gone disastrously wrong for the Dane, and most fans have already turned on him.

Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast on 25 January, the ex-Man United defender somehow defended Frank’s reign at Spurs.

He said: “I’m really, really sad that it’s not going well for him. I hope he can get through it.

“We don’t want to see him sacked at Tottenham, that the last thing we want to see.

“Let’s hope that next weekend will be a blockbuster game and Tottenham can give a good account of themselves.”

Spurs host Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 1 February, and it could be a make-or-break game for Frank‘s career in N17.

Although the Lilywhites have a good head-to-head record against Pep Guardiola’s side, it doesn’t look likely that they’ll get the better of them on this occasion.

Neville gives completely biased assessment of Frank

It’s no shock that Neville likes Frank, but it is clouding his judgment when looking at the overall picture at Tottenham.

Many Spurs fans want Frank gone, as the style of play remains drab and uninspiring.

The only consistent goal threat Tottenham have is through Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, but that is far from sustainable.

Neville has given plenty of criticism for the players, yet he refuses to blame a manager whom he has grown quite fond of over the years.

It’s hugely frustrating that the mainstream media continues to dismiss the notion that Frank should be sacked.

Spurs fans have become fed up with his footballing philosophy, and with the season virtually over at the halfway stage, there aren’t many valid arguments in favour of Frank.

Neville should be ashamed for not speaking the truth.
