'He's definitely going to' - Former Everton player shares what Moyes will tell his players in European football chase
Jermaine Beckford believes that David Moyes will be trying to keep his Everton squad calm as the run-in approaches.
Everton are looking to qualify for Europe for the first time since they played in the Europa League in the 2017–18 season.
Moyes’ side currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, with nine matches left to play until all is decided, and the chase is hotting up.
Beckford thinks that his former manager will not get carried away by the possibility of Everton achieving their ambitions ahead of schedule.

What did Beckford say on Moyes’ thoughts
Everton’s current position could be good enough for a Europa Conference League spot, especially if England gets five Champions League places.
However, Beckford thinks that there will still be some twists in the tale, but there is no reason why the Toffees can’t get into Europe.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo on 11 March, he said: “He’s definitely going to be saying to the players: ‘Don’t get too excited. We are where we are for a reason, if we can maintain the form we’ve got now – away from home especially – and bring some more of what we saw against Burnley at Hill Dickinson Stadium, then why not?’

“If you look at how Liverpool played for their Premier League game at Wolves, who would have seen that coming? I still think there are a couple of twists and turns before now and the end of the season, so possibility-wise for a European place, absolutely, why not?”
Why Everton need to qualify for Europe
Evertonians will be dreaming of playing across the continent next season, because it has been eight years since they last did so.
They will also feel that they can win the Conference League, especially with Moyes at the helm of their club.
The 62-year-old has already won it, when he was in charge at West Ham, and if he could end Everton’s 30-year trophy drought with a European trophy, it would be the perfect outcome.
They have to get there first though, and the attitude that Beckford believes that the manager will have is the right one.
He needs to keep the players’ feet on the ground, so that the pressure on their shoulders is not high, and they perform without mistakes.
The former Everton and Leeds United striker knows how Moyes operates from his time under him, so he is likely right when it comes to Moyes’ feelings on the matter.
It is down to the squad to fight for the boss, and take the mentality that he has into their remaining matches, winning as many as they can to get into Europe next season.
Hopefully, they can do it and top off a remarkable campaign, that has vastly exceeded expectations and could signal the start of better things to come for the Merseysiders.
