“He probably eats lion meat” – Ex-Turkey star says Victor Osimhen is the biggest star in Galatasaray

Former Turkey midfielder Sinan Engin has praised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his brilliant performances against Liverpool, Soccernet.ng reports.

​The 27-year-old Nigerian striker has continued to receive plaudits for his performance against Liverpool in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

​Osimhen assisted Mario Lemina's 6th-minute goal, which proved to be the decider after 90 minutes and gave the Cimbom the advantage heading into the second leg at Anfield next week.

​Although he did not score, Osimhen made his presence felt as always. He kept the Liverpool defenders occupied and often used his physicality to bully them.

​After that showing, former Turkey youth international and Besiktas man Sinan Engin waxed lyrical over Osimhen. Engin expressed his awe at the Nigerian’s performances and called him the main man at Galatasaray.

​Sinan Engin Says Victor Osimhen “Probably Eats Lions”

​Following the game, Sinan Engin jokingly stated that Osimhen behaves like a lion. He drew instances of how multiple players had to mark him in Galatasaray's game against Besiktas last weekend and in their game against Liverpool.

​”There is an extra man in this Galatasaray team. We keep saying it here: Osimhen, Osimhen, Osimhen. I mean, he’s a superhuman guy,” Engin said.

​”Honestly, we need to look at his genetics. He’s more than just a striker; more than just a human.”

​”We were chatting inside, and Tümer says, ‘What does he eat? What is he fueled by?' He probably eats lion meat or something! Since he’s a ‘Lion' [Galatasaray's nickname], he must be fed like one because Osimhen has become like a lion himself.”

​”He doesn't stop! Look, brother, he’s been running by himself since Saturday. He’s been fighting four or five defenders since Saturday. On Saturday, it was Beşiktaş’s defenders, and today it’s another three or four players. He’s wrestling and fighting them all alone.”

​”Icardi is forgotten. Look, there’s no Icardi anymore. He didn't even make that emotional connection today. Forget Icardi and the rest—the reality now in Galatasaray is Osimhen.”

​After the first-leg result against Liverpool at Rams Park, Osimhen will now hope to lead his Galatasaray side to success when they face the Reds at Anfield next week.
