In the last three matches, the attacking midfielder had the second-most shots (10) at his club after Alejandro Grimaldo and provided 10 shot assists (only Grimaldo had more). Maza was therefore involved in a shot every 13 minutes in April.
In the 6-3 home win against Wolfsburg, Maza scored the goal to make it 5-3 after having won the penalty that Grimaldo converted to equalise at 1-1. The youngster has certainly played his part as Leverkusen remain in contention for Champions League qualification with four matchdays remaining.
Like Diomande, Maza contested 88 duels, the most on his team. He won 51 percent of them – a solid figure for an attacking player. Maza is clearly in peak physical condition for the final stretch of the season given, in the last three matches, he covered almost 12 kilometres per 90 minutes on average (11.8).
