Ibrox View: Rangers fans will love Celtic reveal which may prove they're out of title race now
Rangers fans will have been cheering as Celtic crashed to yet another defeat against Dundee United on Sunday afternoon.
After a dreadful couple of Old Firm results at Ibrox in recent weeks, those at Parkhead were revelling in sitting second in the Scottish Premiership.
Only one week later, and Rangers are back into second and in the driving seat to catch Hearts, sitting only three points behind the Jambos now.
Danny Rohl’s squad picked up the impressive result of the weekend too, smashing Aberdeen 4-1 at Ibrox on Saturday evening, despite their new manager bounce.
And now, all signs could point to Celtic dropping out of contention completely.

Celtic omen brilliant reading for Rangers
Celtic lost their eighth game of the season on Sunday, compared to Rangers’ two defeats.
That’s even with Russell Martin in charge, who was the master of the draw during his dreadful spell in Govan at the start of the season.
Celtic can now only reach 82 points, with their lowest-ever tally currently sitting at 69.
Lowest Points Tally TOTAL Rangers 62 Celtic 69 Hearts 23
With just two games to go until the split, it has been revealed that no side has ever won the Scottish Premiership with that many defeats in a single season.
“Celtic lose their eighth league game of the season,” John McGinley wrote on X.
“No side has ever won the Scottish top flight with that many defeats since the move to three points per win.
“Celtic’s maximum points total is now just 82.”
What can Rangers finish on?
Rangers can still finish on 84 points in the Scottish Premiership.
The one big obstacle to their title hopes is that Hearts can finish on 87, with some crucial post-split fixtures to decide everything.
Rangers have the worst hand, given that their fixtures against Hearts and Celtic will both be away from home, given their pre-split games at Ibrox.
Rangers Dundee Utd (H) Falkirk (A) Celtic Dundee (A) St Mirren (H) Hearts Livingston (A) Motherwell (H)
That will put the odds against them to lift the title again, but you have to win the biggest games if you want to take home the silverware.
Rangers and Rohl have done well in those fixtures so far, winning at Parkhead 3-1 and smashing Hearts at Ibrox too.
It will be different post-split, that’s a given as the title gets closer.
Celtic looked helpless at Dundee United on Sunday, and Martin O’Neill may soon have to admit that his squad isn’t ready for this late title race.
Over to you, Rangers and Hearts.
