Jack Grealish reacts to Man City scenes v Arsenal as Everton loanee sends message

Manchester City swept Arsenal aside to win the Carabao Cup final on Sunday afternoon, and Everton loanee Jack Grealish loved watching along.

It was a perfect weekend for Grealish, who watched his parent side win at Wembley 2-0, the day after Everton crushed Chelsea 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Nico O’Reilly scored twice at Wembley to steal the headlines, while Beto did the exact same for the Toffees in a huge win.

With Everton fighting hard for European qualification, it could be the key to keeping Grealish around permanently past his loan spell.

Ironically, Grealish never won the Carabao Cup during his time at Man City.

That’s not to say he hasn’t tasted success of the highest level, with three Premier Leagues, a Champions League and an FA Cup taking the headlines.

He has moved on to Everton now, though, and European qualification would be a huge achievement during his loan spell, even if he is injured for most of the season now.

O’Reilly scored twice, and it was the defender that Grealish hailed on his personal Instagram story while watching from home, laughing along.

Everton crashed out of the Carabao Cup in the third round back in September, disappointingly losing 2-0 against Wolves at Molineux.

What is the latest on Jack Grealish’s injury?

When Grealish was forced to undergo surgery on his foot issue, it was said that he would very likely miss the rest of the season.

There hasn’t been anything released to suggest otherwise, which is a huge disappointment.

Grealish has also been spotted on crutches at Finch Farm in recent days, meaning he is nowhere near even returning to the grass for light rehabilitation.

It will be hurtful to watch his Everton teammates celebrate a huge win against Chelsea without him, and even more watching City lift more silverware.

A player will feel helpless when ruled out with a serious injury, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to stop that feeling.

But the support from Merseyside for Grealish during this blow has been huge, and it will no doubt play a huge role in him possibly sticking around for many years to come.
