Inter Milan: Super Eagles star’s investment to yield €6.5 million return for Serie A champions
Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan are set to pocket €7 million from the sale of Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro to Pisa, Soccernet.ng reports.
Akinsanmiro joined the Nerazzurri from Remo Stars in 2023 in a deal worth around €500,000. Because he joined as a teenager, he began his development with the youth teams.
However, he has not yet had the opportunity to test his mettle with the first team, as he has spent most of his time on loan at other clubs to gain senior experience. Moreover, it would be hard to break into the setup at Milan, as the midfield is stocked with big names like Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Davide Frattesi, Piotr Zielinski and a few others.

The 21-year-old midfielder spent last year on loan with Sampdoria in the Italian Serie B. Then, at the start of this season, he joined newly-promoted Pisa in Serie A.
So far, it has been a topsy-turvy campaign for the Super Eagles star at Pisa. He has featured in 22 games for the Nerazzurri, recording one assist. Although he started the campaign as a regular for the club, his minutes reduced significantly following the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria. He only started getting a place in the starting eleven recently.
Unfortunately, his performances were not enough to help Pisa stay afloat in Serie A. Their relegation to Serie B was sealed weeks ago, as they sit rock-bottom with just 18 points from 35 games.

At the end of the campaign, they were expected to part ways with Akinsanmiro, who was slated to return to Inter Milan—a side that recently clinched another Serie A title.
However, the club has now decided to sign the Super Eagles star permanently.
Akinsanmiro Leaves Inter Milan For Pisa Permanently
According to Inter Transfers, Pisa has activated the buy-out clause in Akinsanmiro's contract. This will see them pay Inter Milan €7 million for the Super Eagles star.

This represents a significant return on the Serie A champions' €500k investment made just three years ago. However, Inter Milan still retains an €8 million buy-back option because they continue to believe in his long-term potential.
Nonetheless, there remains a slight possibility that Pisa could resell Akinsanmiro during the summer transfer window.
