Italian journo claims today Rangers still have one more signing to come - midfielder on £16k-a-wk deal

Rangers may not be done with their winter business, despite the transfer deadline passing on Monday.

Ryan Naderi joined as Rangers’ final signing before the opportunity to make additions to the squad passed, as they agreed a compromise with Hansa Rostock.

He linked up with Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen as Danny Rohl bolstered his squad for a crack at the Scottish Premiership title.

However, there may still be one more incoming on the cards at Ibrox.

Rangers finally set to sign Jens Hjerto-Dahl?

Rangers were heavily linked with Jens Hjerto-Dahl before the deadline, and they may still complete his signing.

A report from Marco Conterio on 3 February claims that the Norwegian is one step away from signing for the Light Blues.

It states that his signature is expected shortly in Govan, with a £867,000 net salary, which works out at a £16,000-per-week deal.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl signing would be weird for this reason

The deadline has already been and gone, so it would be a highly irregular move and is surely unlikely to actually happen.

Surely any agreement that is reached would have to be for a summer transfer, as the registration window is no longer available for the Bears to add new players.

It would be truly bizarre if Hjerto-Dahl were signed now and available to play for Rohl’s side this season at any point in any competition.

There is no doubting the player’s quality, the transfer would not be weird for any footballing reasons at all, as he has proved to be a class operator in his time in Norway.

Hjerto-Dahl’s career stats for Tromso.

The 20-year-old has made 87 appearances for Tromso already, despite his age, and boasts the physicality and passing range that the Light Blues need to get over the line in the title race.

If they could secure his signature, they should definitely do it, but it would be strange to see a deal happen after the deadline.

It may well be a bit of confusion from the reporter, and a summer deal has been agreed upon, or it may just be that is simply not the case.

Only time will tell, whether the young maestro arrives in G51 or not.
