Joe Cole shares verdict on David Moyes getting UCL football at Everton
David Moyes could potentially steer Everton into the Champions League.
Joe Cole believes the Scottish manager has a chance of qualifying for the most prestigious European tournament ahead of next season.
Former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole also feels that while it’s difficult to see the Toffees achieve a top-five finish in the Premier League, the 62-year-old head coach has the ability to pull it off.
Moyes beat Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea in the English top flight on 21 March at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the Merseyside outfit are now just three points behind fifth-place Liverpool.

Everton can pull off miracle with Champions League qualification
Moyes will be confident of getting into a European competition for the 2026-27 campaign, but a place in the Champions League will be a magnificent achievement for the Toffees.
The Blues have a challenging end to the season coming up, with games against Liverpool and Manchester City, both of whom have everything to play for in the league table.
West Ham United will also host the Merseysiders towards the end of April, with Nuno Espirito Santo hoping to keep them Hammers in the top flight.
On the final day of the campaign, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the Toffees, and Spurs may have to win that game to avoid suffering an embarrassing relegation, leaving Moyes with some difficult games to contend with in the final stretch of the campaign.
Speaking on The Dressing Room Podcast on 24 March, Joe Cole said, “Whenever I met Moyes at West Ham, he’d give you that vibe of I’m in charge. If he gets Everton into the Champions League!”
Carlton Cole responded, “I think it’s a bit far off, but if they can pip it, you never know. They just need a run of games and they’re up there. If anyone can do it, someone like him can.”
David Moyes has clear formula for triumph at Hill Dickinson Stadium
Beto has been on fire for Everton, scoring a brace against Chelsea in the 3-0 win at home on 21 March.
The Guinea-Bissau striker has been given the nod to start over Thierno Barry in recent matches and has repaid Moyes’ faith.

Beto has three goals and one assist in his last four Premier League appearances and could be the one to push the Toffees further up the table.
The Scottish manager got the best out of the former Udinese forward in the second half of last season, and it looks like the same is happening this time around.
