Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool fans desperate for fairytale return after ’emotional’ Anfield footage

Jurgen Klopp returned to Anfield as Liverpool Legends and Borussia Dortmund Legends played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on Merseyside.

The Reds’ former manager was joined by Sir Kenny Dalglish in the home dugout on Saturday, 28 March, with so many huge names all coming together for the Liverpool FC foundation.

It was a delightful day out for all involved, and with Arne Slot really struggling to prove himself this season, supporters were treated to a slice of the good days at Anfield.

Slot is edging closer to being sacked, most recently being stunned 2-1 by Brighton, and Liverpool fans have now made their feelings clear over a return to management for Klopp instead.

Liverpool fans cry out for Jurgen Klopp to ‘come back home’

Following the game, footage of Klopp celebrating with the Kop emerged on social media, with the German doing his famous fist-pumping to those at Anfield.

Fans got extremely emotional about the footage, with one saying, “the things I’d do to get him back,” with three crying emojis, and the majority of supporters shared the sentiment.

Supporters are crying out for Klopp to “come back home” after returning to Anfield for the Legends game this weekend, which would also mean a very sorry end to his spell as Liverpool manager.

You could see exactly how much Klopp still loves the club, having spent nine years of his career on Merseyside before stepping down, with Slot inheriting his team last season.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Slot is facing rising pressure at Liverpool, with the Dutchman “running out of excuses” as the Reds’ form continues to cause major problems this term.

Supporters could forget about the club’s struggles this weekend, though, and were even treated to a hilarious moment when Klopp held up a banner asking for a selfie with Thiago Alcantara.

Of course, it is highly unlikely that Klopp comes back to Liverpool, with the former manager now in a role with Red Bull as their Head of Global Football, but fans can dream.
