Kris Boyd names Rangers star who can have 'a major say' on title race

Kris Boyd has told Rangers that Bojan Miovski can be the man to fire them to the Scottish Premiership title.

Danny Rohl may call upon the North Macedonia forward more often now that Ryan Naderi is suspected to be out for the rest of the campaign.

Miovski has not proven himself in Govan so far, but former Gers striker Boyd believes that he can come good in the final few weeks.

He has featured 25 times in the league, with five goals and one assist, but the Ibrox legend has seen enough to be hopeful.

Rangers would benefit massively if the 26-year-old were to find his best form again when it mattered most.

Miovski has not hit the heights Rangers expected him to, but he is the best finisher at the club in front of goal in Boyd’s opinion.

In a column for the Scottish Sun on 10 April, he said: “Miovski came off the bench against Dundee United last Saturday at a pivotal moment and delivered with the fourth goal.

“It was a terrific strike and showed why there’s an argument to say he’s the club’s best finisher, what I liked was how selfish he was instead of slipping a pass as he might have done before.

“United had been pushing to make it 3-3 and Miovski melted all the nerves around Ibrox, will it guarantee him a start at Falkirk on Sunday?

“Maybe not, unless Rohl opts to pair him with Chermiti, but Miovski will feature at some point and it will be yet another chance to show he can have a major say in this title race.”
