Liverpool vs Galatasaray: How to watch on TV, live stream details and kick-off time

Liverpool need to overturn a one-goal deficit against Galatasaray this week if they are to progress to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Galatasaray emerged with a 1-0 win from the first leg of their round of 16 tie in Istanbul last week through Mario Lemina’s seventh-minute strike.

Liverpool thought they had equalised in the second half before Ibrahima Konate was adjudged to have committed handball and the goal was chalked off, while Victor Osimhen also saw a strike ruled out for offside.

Arne Slot’s side needed to gain some confidence before the second leg, but they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Tottenham on Sunday as Richarlison scored late on.

Liverpool’s next match now sees Gala travel to Anfield in midweek, and Football Insider have rounded up everything you need to know to watch the game.

What channel is Liverpool vs Galatasaray on?

Liverpool have won just one of their last seven UCL knockout games at Anfield since that famous 4-0 victory over Barcelona in 2019.

They have to improve that record in order to progress past this week’s match-up against Galatasaray on home turf, which kicks off at 8pm on Wednesday, 18 March.

Viewers in the UK will be able to tune in to the action live on TNT Sports 1 and Ultimate, as well as online on discovery+, with live coverage starting at 7pm.

Highlights from every Champions League midweek game will be on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app on Wednesday from 10:40pm onwards.

How can viewers watch other Premier League teams in UCL action?

Sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool chiefs are asking questions of manager Slot, with doubts set to heighten if they crash out of the Champions League this week.

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is in a similar boat, as his side aim to make up a three-goal deficit against PSG, with the game live on TNT Sports 2 at 8pm on Tuesday.

Tuesday also sees Arsenal face Bayer Leverkusen on TNT Sports 1, while Man City’s hosting of Real Madrid is live on Amazon Prime Video, with both matches kicking off at 8pm.

Newcastle face Barcelona at 5:45pm on Wednesday on TNT Sports 2, while Tottenham take on Atletico Madrid on the same day at 8pm, with that match on TNT Sports 3.
