Pep Guardiola: We need to have a serious conversation about the Man City boss, it’s time for a change
Pep Guardiola has earned the right to call time on his spell as Manchester City manager whenever he believes he should.
There is absolutely no doubt about that, with 18 major trophies, including six Premier League titles, lifted since he signed across the dotted line at the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2016.
However, there is a growing consensus that the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has nothing left to give for the club, and that the 2025-26 season should be his last.
Man City must begin their manager search either way, with only one more season left on his current deal, and an ever-growing list of potential replacements to sift through between now and then.

Pep Guardiola’s impending exit is only going to become a bigger talking point
There has been a lot of talk about who would be worthy of replacing the Catalan, though it has been reported that Enzo Maresca, formerly of Chelsea, has already held talks with the club.
Xabi Alonso, Vincent Kompany and Roberto De Zerbi have also all been mentioned, but very few managers in the history of the sport have the ability to do what Guardiola has done at City.
The 55-year-old will go down in the club’s history as one of, if not the most, successful managers, and nobody is trying to take his accomplishments away from him.

But with Arsenal closing in on a rare Premier League title and the expectation of being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid yet again, fans are growing restless with the current situation.
The Man City boss is only losing more trust at the Etihad
It is not a conversation that supporters can continue to ignore, just because of how much he has won for the club.
Of course, an unlikely turnaround against Real Madrid would seriously change the mood over his prospects of staying on as Man City boss, but that would be papering over the cracks, if anything.
Guardiola has not failed to win a trophy in a season with the Citizens since his first in England, and despite battling in four different competitions, it could certainly happen again this term.
There is very little confidence in the team heading into games this season, and that stems from the man in the dugout.
It’s extremely difficult to say it, but Guardiola is slowly losing the supporters’ trust and confidence. It’s tough to think of life without the Catalan, but that day is approaching faster than many realise.
