Man United fans say the same thing about Bruno Guimaraes signing after deal gets green light

Manchester United fans have all said the same about Bruno Guimaraes after the Newcastle midfielder was linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Guimaraes is a pivotal player on Tyneside under Eddie Howe, and has been team captain of Newcastle since August 2024.

The 28-year-old has nine goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, and Man United will be looking to replace Casemiro in the transfer market when his contract expires.

Man United’s transfer business in the summer will centre on adding a new midfielder to their squad, with the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson also a target for the club.

Man United fans in agreement over Bruno Guimaraes move

Man United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly endorsed Guimaraes to be his replacement at Old Trafford when he leaves at the end of the season.

The pair have played together for the Brazilian national team, and fans believe his endorsement should mean Man United go all out to sign the Newcastle star.

Supporters have been calling Guimaraes the “perfect” replacement for Casemiro, although Newcastle will have no intention of selling their captain.

However, no European football at St James’ Park next season could make a move to Old Trafford more lucrative for Guimaraes, with Michael Carrick’s side currently on course to qualify for the Champions League.

Bruno Fernandes makes Man United exit decision

Sources have told Football Insider that Bruno Fernandes could remain at Man United on the grounds that Carrick is appointed manager on a permanent basis.

Carrick remains unbeaten as Man United manager after seven Premier League games, and is expected to get the job full time if a top four finish is achieved.

Fernandes has been linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia, and the 31-year-old rejected a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer to remain at Old Trafford.

The Man United captain remains a vital player at the club, and he has contributed seven goals and 13 assists this season.

Fernandes scored from the penalty spot last time out as Man United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1, and he is expected to start in their next Premier League match at Newcastle.
