Mark Goldbridge slams Manchester United amid Wilfred Ndidi transfer links

Manchester United fan channel owner Mark Goldbridge has criticised the club’s hierarchy following reports linking the Red Devils with Wilfred Ndidi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Soccerner.ng reports.

Multiple reports, led by talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook, have linked the Super Eagles captain with a return to England, with suggestions that Manchester United are discussing a possible loan move for the Nigerian from Besiktas JK.

This is widely perceived within the Nigerian football community as a sign that the former Leicester City midfielder may have caught the club’s attention following his outstanding performances at the AFCON.

Reacting to fresh claims that United have revived interest in Ndidi as a possible midfield reinforcement, Goldbridge took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration with the club’s recruitment direction.

“Ndidi and Loftus-Cheek… says everything about this club. Fans with standard of Real Madrid. Owners with standards of Stoke,” Goldbridge wrote.

This follows growing speculation that the club are exploring short-term midfield options in the January transfer window, with Ndidi reportedly under consideration following his move to Turkish giants Besiktas from Leicester City last summer.

While no official bid has been submitted, reports indicate that Manchester United are internally discussing midfield reinforcements as they attempt to stabilise performances and push for Champions League qualification.

Despite the links, there is still no confirmation that United will formalise their interest in Ndidi before the window closes, with the club yet to communicate any concrete transfer plans publicly.
