Martin Odegaard missed Arsenal’s Premier League win against Fulham on Saturday after suffering a knee injury earlier this week.

The Arsenal captain was forced off after just 58 minutes during the 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Odegaard has been hampered by a knee issue throughout the season and the Norway international was left out of Arsenal’s matchday squad for the 3-0 win against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking after Arsenal’s victory which has put them six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, Mikel Arteta was asked whether Odegaard and Kai Havertz could return against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

‘I think so, the both of them,’ Arteta told beIN Sports.
