Michael Gannon backs Rangers to make up to £4m profit on 'raw' Rangers star
Rangers could look at keeping on-loan star Nasser Djiga at the club permanently this summer, and Michael Gannon believes it’s the move to make.
The Bears signed the centre-back on a season-long loan from Wolves last summer, with his parent club now looking destined for Premier League relegation.
Like many Gers stars at the start of the season, Djiga was a victim of Russell Martin’s philosophy, which exposed his biggest weaknesses.
The defender didn’t get off to a great start in light blue, but since Danny Rohl’s arrival, his fortunes have changed in Glasgow.
Rangers may need to sign a centre-back this summer, and Gannon believes the 23-year-old is the man to secure, while also looking at it from a financial standpoint.

Michael Gannon backs Rangers for ‘good business’ with Nasser Djiga
There is no buy clause in Djiga’s contract, meaning the Bears have already missed out on what may now have been seen as a cut-price deal.
The centre-half played another 90 minutes in the 4-1 win over Aberdeen this Saturday, which again proved his quality.

While speaking on the Daily Record‘s Game On show, Gannon revealed his thoughts on why the Bears should seek Djiga’s permanent stay this summer, highlighting how the 49ers could make up to £4million in profit.
Gannon said: “I think he’s got the potential to be far better than he is now. He’s still young, and he’s raw as a pound of mince.
“If you sign him for £6m, you could sell him again back to a high level, big, strong centre-halves are good value these days. You could get £8-10m back, it could be good business.”
It’s not known how much Wolves currently value the Burkina Faso international, but £6m looks like a steal right now.
Djiga would be a bargain for £6m; this is why
The prospect of Wolves’ relegation could force the English side to sell up, as there’s a high chance that Djiga will want to test his limits at top levels.
The centre-back has already had a taste of what silverware-chasing seasons are like, and that’s something he won’t get back in Wolverhampton.

As highlighted by the graphic above, Dijiga’s Sofascore rating is an average of 7.05 for the league campaign, and would surely be a steal at £6m.
The Bears will need to sign a new central defender this summer anyway, with him returning to Wolves, but he could be the ideal man to come back to Ibrox.
