Nigeria-eligible Irish defender joins Sheffield Wednesday on loan from Crystal Palace
Reigning FA Cup Champions Crystal Palace have loaned out Nigeria-eligible Irish defender Tayo Adaramola to Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 22-year-old full-back has been with the Eagles since he was 12, before signing his first professional contract six years ago.
Since 2020, Adaramola has spent time on loan with several lower-level clubs, including Coventry City, RWD Molenbeek, Stockport County, Bradford City, and Leyton Orient.

Sheffield Wednesday loan Tayo Adaramola from Crystal Palace
In an official statement on their club's website, Sheffield Wednesday announced their latest acquisition, who will spend time at Hillsborough till May.
“He made his senior debut in February 2022, featuring in FA Cup victories over Hartlepool United and Stoke City.
“He has since gained valuable senior experience during loan spells with Stockport County and Bradford City, playing a key role as the latter secured promotion to League One last season. Most recently, Adaramola made 18 appearances for Leyton Orient during the first half of the 2025/26 campaign.
“Everyone at Crystal Palace wishes Tayo the very best during his loan spell with the Owls,” Crystal Palace wrote on their website, bidding the 22-year-old goodbye until the end of the season.

The one-time English Premier League winners were initially handed a 12-point deduction back in October over administrative issues between the club and the company that owns the club.
They were handed another six-point deduction in December due to regulation breaches that involved them failing to pay players in March, May and June, as well as other non-payments to staff and HMRC.
With 17 league games left to play, Sheffield Wednesday's best point return this season is 44 points, and that'll only happen if they win all.

Adaramola is eligible to play for Nigeria, although he was born in Ireland to Yoruba parents. He's played for the Irish youth team so far, but his openness to a switch of International allegiance has not been made public yet.
