“Talk about sharp, he is well off, but what about that, Saka does everything right.”

The Three Lions number one is one of the most experienced players in the squad, so he is vital in terms of calming the squad down and keeping feet on the ground.

It would not be remiss to say that Moyes’ side would not be where they are in the Premier League table right now, if they did not have him in the net.

That is how important that he is, and if he can continue in his current vein of form, there is no reason why the Merseysiders cannot reach their ambitions.

While Saka was offside, there was every chance that VAR could bring it back and say he was on in Pickford’s mind, so he had to make the save, and what a save it was.

Smith was in awe, and rightfully so, as it was just the latest example of his wonderful shot-stopping ability, which could drive his side to where they want to be at the end of the campaign.
