Philippe Clement wants to sign Rangers outcast on loan - report
Philippe Clement could take a player that Rangers don’t want off their hands this month.
Clement was sacked by Rangers in February 2024, after 16 months in the Ibrox dugout, with a dismal loss to St Mirren being the final straw.
Now, he is back in management with Norwich, trying to drag the Championship side out of relegation danger.
Clement could turn to his former club to help with that task, and finally seal an exit for an outcast who has hardly featured for the Gers.

Which Rangers player does Philippe Clement want?
Rabbi Matondo is one of several Rangers players to be deemed surplus to requirements in Govan this month.
Clement could be set to capitalise and take the Welshmen off the Gers’ books for the immediate future, as he is eyeing a move.
The 72 journalist James Ray claims that Norwich want to sign Matondo on loan for the rest of the season, with Clement keen on reuniting with the 25-year-old.

Why Rangers fans will love Clement if he takes Matondo off their hands
Matondo has made 69 appearances for the Light Blues, with eight goals and 11 assists since joining the Govan side in 2022.
Clement managed him for 30 of those games, with six goals and four assists, while he was in charge of the Bears, the best spell of his career in Blue.

He spent last season on loan with Hannover 96 after falling out of the Belgian boss’ plans, and has not been fit enough to make it into the squad since returning to Auchenhowie.
That has been the story of his Gers career so far, injury after injury, which means that supporters are keen to get him off the books and forget about him, after a disappointing spell in Scottish football.
It is a shame because there is a real player there, when he is fit, but he cannot seem to stay in peak physical condition.
If Clement takes the former Manchester City youth player away from Glasgow, even just for a short period, it will surely please the fanbase.
If he decides to stump up cash to sign him permanently if he impresses on loan, then that is even better for the supporters, who have grown tired with Matondo, and his constant unavailability.
