Randal Kolo Muani ‘surprise’ emerges as agents offer Tottenham ace to 19-time league champions
Randal Kolo Muani’s loan move to Tottenham has not had the desired effect for any party involved.
Kolo Muani joined Tottenham on the summer deadline in a straight loan. Spurs do not have any obligation or option to buy Kolo Muani permanently.
However, in 23 games, the PSG loanee has only managed to score two goals, with both coming in one game against his parent club.
While Kolo Muani has found himself starting quite a few games for Thomas Frank, the return of Dominic Solanke could start to change things.
It now looks like the player is anticipating that to happen, as he looks to cut his stint in London short following this latest news.
Randal Kolo Muani offered to Turkish side Fenerbahce
Summer signing Kolo Muani appears to be growing frustrated with his time at Tottenham, with the Frenchman seemingly already looking to leave North London.
The 27-year-old has only been at Spurs for five months, but a fear over a lack of minutes is starting to convince the forward his future this season lies elsewhere.
According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Kolo Muani’s agents have offered the striker to Turkish giants Fenerbahce as he looks to seek more playing time, with the publication describing it as a “surprising” development.
The ambition of the former Juventus man to play more frequently is associated with his desire to feature for France at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
The forward is likely aware that the prospect of continued spells on the bench for the Lilywhites will dampen his chances.
Additionally, PSG may be more content with the striker performing elsewhere to increase his value.
Should Tottenham let Kolo Muani leave?
If everyone is fit and firing, letting Kolo Muani leave would not be terrible for Tottenham. The club are well stocked in that area.
However, with the recent injury to Richarlison, letting go of one of those options without a replacement is short-sighted.
- Tottenham’s striker options
- Dominic Solanke
- Richarlison
- Mathys Tel
- Randal Kolo Muani
- Dane Scarlett
Spurs have been linked to Samu Omorodion, and if a player of his calibre joins, then cutting Kolo Muani’s loan short makes sense.
However, until there is confirmation on that, or for movements for another central forward, Spurs have to keep the PSG loanee at the club.
With a crucial Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt looming, there is a chance the Lilywhites have to compete in the play-off round.
That would come far too soon for Richarlison’s return from injury, making keeping Kolo Muani all the more necessary.
