Rangers fans all say the same about fresh Mikey Moore deal as Tottenham face £75m ‘disaster’
Rangers fans are all in agreement over how relegation for Tottenham would affect their chances of signing Mikey Moore permanently.
The Ibrox loanee has taken on an increasingly important role for Danny Rohl’s side in recent weeks, and he now has seven goal involvements from just 24 Scottish Premiership appearances.
Moore’s fortunes are in total contrast to those of his parent club at the moment, as they are now just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League after they were beaten 3-1 at home by Crystal Palace on Thursday.
Rangers’ transfer plans are already beginning to take shape ahead of this summer’s window, and their supporters have been left in no doubt as to whether a deal for Moore will be on the table.

Rangers fans react to Mikey Moore suggestion: ‘He’s more likely…’
Moore burst onto the scene at Tottenham in the second half of last season, as Ange Postecoglou promoted him from the youth team to provide additional depth in the latter stages of the campaign.
However, the youngster has since kicked on during his first full campaign as a senior player, and has become a key figure for Rohl and Co. in recent weeks.
Rangers fans were left gushing after the starlet’s first-half display in last weekend’s Old Firm Derby, and they have already formed a strong attachment to their loan star.
Tottenham’s continued struggles south of the border have even prompted some fans to dream of a potential permanent move for Moore in the summer if they are relegated to the Championship.
One supporter took to X to suggest that a cut-price deal could be possible on Thursday night, but he was quickly shot down by his fellow supporters in the replies.
One fan suggested that there was “no chance” of Rangers being able to snatch Moore if Tottenham were relegated, while that view was consistent across several people who replied.
There was also a feeling that even another loan deal may not be possible, with many fans pointing out that “he’s more likely to play” for Tottenham in the Championship.
- @petera1872: “Them getting relegated would make it harder to get him as he’d be seen as someone that would start when they sell off all the big earners.”
- @JaffaGer: “Actually think the price would go up if they go down. IMO if he’s used right Spurs could use him at Prem level, Championship he starts for Spurs easily.”
Tottenham sales to open door for Moore to start
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson recently told Football Insider that Tottenham would instantly lose £75million in broadcast revenue alone if they suffered the “disaster” of relegation.
That would merely be the tip of the iceberg in terms of the revenue that the Lilywhites would stand to lose, and they would surely be forced into countering that with several major sales.
Their biggest stars would generate the highest transfer fees, and as a result, that would likely leave the door open for the likes of Moore to come in and become the next generation of heroes.
Spurs received plenty of interest in the wideman from the English Championship last summer, and with that in mind, they would surely have no qualms about using him as a key player if they did slip to that level.
His Rangers loan spell looks set to provide a significant boost for his development as a player, but it is becoming increasingly likely that he will take the next step with his parent club next season.
