Rangers new signing faces debut delay as fresh injury details emerge - report
Tuur Rommens will have to wait to make his Rangers debut after completing his move from Westerlo on Wednesday.
Rangers player reacted to Rommens’ arrival as the left-back became the second arrival at Ibrox in the winter window.
Tochi Chukwuani has also joined Rangers, while Andreas Skov Olsen will be next to arrive at Ibrox assuming his medical goes to plan.
Rommens himself would have had to complete a medical before signing, but the defender is apparently not quite fully fit.

Tuur Rommens may not be fully fit for another month
Jayden Meghoma has been overused by Rangers this season, but it looks as though he will be called upon for a while longer yet by Danny Rohl.
That is because, according to the print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail on Thursday, new signing Rommens is still feeling the effects of a knock he previously sustained.
It is reported that, while Rommens is technically fit enough to play, he will not be risked in Rangers‘ Scottish Cup tie against Annan Athletic on Friday.
Rohl will instead manage Rommens’ introduction into the side, and it may well be that he is not fully up to speed for another three or four weeks’ time.
That injury detail will surprise many, but it must be remembered that Rommens has been signed for the long-term and so Rohl will understandably not want to take any needless risks.
Full details on Rommens and Rangers deal
Rangers announced that Rommens has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Ibrox, with reports suggesting the fee is in the region of £3.5million.
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream to play for a club like this, and I only have positive feelings,” Rommens said upon confirmation of the deal.
The 22-year-old has been capped by Belgium at various age-grade levels, up to and including the Under-21s, so it may well be that he is soon in the same side at Nico Raskin at senior level.
- Rommens is under contract at Rangers until July 2029
- He has been capped by Belgium up to and including U21 level
- The 22-year-old made 77 league appearances for Westerlo
The truth is that not a great deal is known about Rommens, but it certainly sounds like an exciting and progressive transfer.
With Skov Olsen set to be next, greedy Gers fans will be hoping that signing number four is not too far behind.
