Rangers: Northern Irish wonderkid JB Camlin stars on trial at Auchenhowie
Rangers have recently given Crusaders star JB Camlin a trial at the club.
The Northern Ireland Under-15s winger has emerged as a top talent in his country and has previously gone on trial at Derby County, Leeds United, Brighton, and Charlton Athletic over the past year.
With the summer transfer window around the corner, Rangers are no doubt on the lookout for potential talent.
This resulted in Camlin’s trial at Auchenhowie last week as he looked to develop into the next big star.
Below, Football Insider has explored how the youngster performed during his Rangers trial.

JB Camlin picks up assist in Rangers trial
According to The Talent Hunter on 11 April, Camlin took part in an Under-15s match for Rangers.
Here, the winger picked up an assist in an impressive display in Glasgow.
Player Signed from Age at time of signing Fee Ryan Naderi Hansa Rostock 22 £4.6million Andreas Skov Olsen Wolfsburg 26 Loan Tuur Rommens Westerlo 22 £3m Tochi Chukwuani Sturm Graz 22 £3.8m
Further reports suggest that he also completed a series of intense fitness assessments, performing superbly throughout.
Considering that Camlin has already made a couple of Under-18 appearances for the Crusaders’ academy, it is clear that he is a top talent.
However, it remains to be seen if the Gers make a move to sign Camlin permanently in the coming months.
Are Rangers set to focus on upcoming signings going forward?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Rangers are set to focus on younger talents in the upcoming transfer window.
The hope is that Danny Rohl can develop these players into stars at Ibrox over the coming years.
From here, Rangers could potentially sell these players on for a profit, especially if they perform well in Europe, with many teams now happy to splash the cash on top talents.
This policy is seemingly already underway, with three of the Gers’ four winter window signings being 22 years old.
This is set to happen no matter what occurs in the remaining games of the 2025-26 campaign, where Rangers could still win the Scottish Premiership, or could also be sent down into the Conference League for the next season.
As a result, it remains to be seen if Camlin will join the contingent of young signings expected to join Ibrox in the upcoming transfer window, or if he will be forced to look elsewhere to take the next step in his footballing career.
