Rangers reject loan with £10m+ option for Ibrox star, fee will only increase - report
Rangers have rejected a big-money bid for Djeidi Gassama with Danny Rohl desperate to keep hold of his key players in the winter transfer window.
The Gers have already done a lot of business this month, with Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens, and Andreas Skov Olsen making the move to Ibrox.
Rohl is eager to strengthen further, as the Glasgow outfit are locked in a fierce Scottish Premiership title battle.
Rangers will first have to work on keeping members of their current squad though, as Gassama has been linked with an exit.

Rangers reject Monaco’s bid for Djeidi Gassama
Gassama has attracted interest from Monaco in recent days, with the French side lodging an official bid for the 22-year-old.
According to Rangers Review, the Ligue 1 outfit wanted to bring in Gassama on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy in excess of £10million included.
However, the Gers have rejected the approach for the forward and have no intention of letting him go before the transfer deadline
Gassama’s contract at Rangers runs until the end of the 2028-29 season, and the Glasgow outfit will be able to demand a bigger fee for him in the summer.
Djeidi Gassama is a key figure for Danny Rohl
Gassama has consistently featured under Rohl since the former Sheffield Wednesday boss took over from Russell Martin earlier this season.
The winger is clearly a key figure for the Gers boss, having worked with him at Wednesday, which is one of the reasons why the Glasgow outfit are fighting so hard to keep him at Ibrox.
Gassama has four goal contributions in the Scottish Premiership this term, and found the back of the net as Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 last Sunday.
The win moved the Bears within just four points of table-topping Hearts, and they are now two points clear of third-place Celtic.
Gassama will be crucial for the rest of the season as Rangers bid for a first league title since 2021.
