Rangers submit multi-million bid to sign Ryan Naderi as late January move made

Rangers have made a £2.6million move to sign Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi as Danny Rohl aims to add to his depth in attack.

Rangers are in fine form right now as they chase table-toppers Hearts from second place in the Scottish Premiership.

Rohl‘s side have won eight games in a row since a December defeat to the Jambos, with several new signings already made as they aim to stay in the title race until May.

Andreas Skov Olsen recently arrived on loan from Wolfsburg to add more quality to their play in the final third, but Rohl is known to be after a new striker, with all of his current options struggling to score consistently.

Football Insider have revealed that Rangers could move for Motherwell’s Tawanda Maswanhise, but they look to have identified Naderi as a first-choice target for the final stages of the January window.

Rangers have submitted a £2.6m offer for Rostock’s Naderi

22-year-old Naderi has registered eight goals and four assists in 17 league games for third-tier German side Hansa Rostock.

The striker was previously on Borussia Monchengladbach’s books before a 2024 move to Hansa, and he could be set to move outside of Germany for the first time in his career soon.

According to a new report from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Rangers are now “pushing” to sign Naderi after making a €3m (£2.6m) offer to Rostock for his services.

The offer is on the table and talks are ongoing, with the 22-year-old believed to be keen on the move and hopeful that an agreement can be reached.

Rangers also want to sign Dan Neil but he is happy to stay at Sunderland

Rangers have also signed Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani alongside Skov Olsen this month, but more additions are needed if they want to continue closing the gap on Hearts.

Football Insider recently revealed that Rangers were lining up a move for Neil as he struggles for minutes at Sunderland following their promotion to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has only made three top-flight appearances this season, but Neil is keen to stay at Sunderland until the end of his contract in the summer, despite the Gers opening talks over a move.

Rohl may have to move on to other midfield targets soon, with the 2 February deadline not far away now, but they will hope that Naderi is through the door first as they accelerate talks to land his services.
