Rangers unseen moments vs Dundee United: Rohl 'furious', new figure spotted in Ibrox stands
Rangers beat Dundee United 4-2 on Saturday, but there were moments of Danny Rohl fury and Thelo Aasgaard fan frustration at Ibrox.
Rohl’s side made it two successive wins on the bounce in the Scottish Premiership on Easter weekend, with a big 4-2 win over Dundee United.
Ryan Naderi got the goalscoring under way after 30 minutes, before Dujon Sterling doubled Gers’ lead 10 minutes later, before United got a goal back just before half-time.
Aasgaard would extend the lead to 3-1 on 52 minutes, but Jim Goodwin’s side came back at them with a Zachary Sapsford goal with just under 20 minutes to play.
However, an 85th-minute strike from Bojan Miovski made sure of the win for Rangers, and takes them to the top of the table ahead of Hearts and Celtic’s respective games on Sunday.

Danny Rohl “furious” with Dundee United tackles
Rangers were warned of a physical game against Dundee United in the lead up to Saturday, and that’s exactly what it was, with numerous yellow cards dished out.
However, Rohl evidently felt as though United were getting away with one too many tackles for his liking, and he made sure to let the officials know how he felt.

Speaking whilst on commentary duties for BBC Radio Scotland at Ibrox, Rob Maclean picked up on Rohl’s anger on the touchline at some of the Dundee United challenges referee John Beaton was letting go unpunished in the first half.
“Danny Rohl is furious on the touchline. He reckons there was at least one bad challenge there, including on Sterling,” said Maclean.
“He expected that to be greeted with a yellow card.”
Rangers fans blast Aasgaard moments before redemption
Aasgaard has had an up and down debut season with Rangers, with the 23-year-old attacking midfielder having seen his starting place go in recent weeks, but he’s now seemingly back in favour with Rohl.
The Norwegian made his second-straight starting lineup against Dundee United on Saturday, after bagging an assist against Aberdeen last time out, and he richly rewarded his boss for doing so.
However, there was a brief moment where some of the Ibrox faithful weren’t happy with him at all, after he botched a corner in the lead up to Naderi’s and Gers’ opening goal of the game.
Explaining the situation via BBC Sport‘s live text coverage of Saturday’s Scottish Premiership fixtures was former Rangers player and Ian McCall, who noted the bellows of frustration aimed at Aasgaard before he redeemed himself.
“Aasgaard was getting pelters for taking a terrible corner,” said McCall.
“He’s got on the second ball out wide beat his man and curls in an absolute great strike Maynard-Brewer could only get a hand to it. Ryan Naderi follows it up and knocks it into an empty net.”
Jim Gillespie spotted watching on with Andrew Cavenagh
Rangers announced that Jim Gillespie would become the Club’s new CEO in mid-January, as the 49ers Enterprises continue to build their boardroom team at Ibrox.
And, as picked up by the Daily Record’s live blog of Saturday’s game, Gillespie was spotted watching the match alongside chairman Andrew Cavenagh.

Gillespie resigned from his role as St Mirren’s vice-chairman to take up the new position with Rangers, and is also the chief executive of social care charity, Kibble.
He will no doubt be chuffed by what he witnessed on Saturday then, as he looks to help guide Rangers into an exciting new era.
