Ricardo Pepi: Fulham’s most expensive signings as £31m deal reached for PSV Eindhoven star

Ricardo Pepi could be about to become one of Fulham‘s all-time most expensive signings after a deal was agreed with PSV Eindhoven.

According to Fabrizio Romano (17 March), the Cottagers have reached a verbal agreement with the Dutch club, with the deal set to cost €36million (£31.1million) ahead of the summer.

Marco Silva’s side have long been linked with a move for the USA international, who has 13 goals and two assists in 27 games this season, hoping to have him alongside Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz.

Transfers have been a sore subject for Fulham over the years, but supporters will be over the moon to see a deal finally in place to sign an elite star, and Football Insider has looked at the club’s most expensive deal.

Jean Michael Seri – £25.9million

Most recently with Slovenia’s Maribor, Jean Michael Seri was expected to be a midfielder for the future, but he never really worked out after a £25.9million from Nice in the summer of 2018.

He made a total of 70 appearances in between loan spells at Galatasaray and Bordeaux, before eventually leaving for Hull City on a free transfer four years later.

Oscar Bobb – £27million

It is far too early to judge Oscar Bobb’s career at Craven Cottage just yet, having joined from Man City during the winter transfer window, but the early signs are certainly positive.

The Norwegian international has shown bursts of brilliance during his time at the Etihad Stadium, but a major long-term injury certainly stunted his development under Pep Guardiola.

Emile Smith Rowe – £27.5million

Fulham supporters have fallen in love with Emile Smith Rowe since he arrived from Arsenal, having now notched 11 goals and three assists in 75 appearances across all competitions.

The 25-year-old would definitely want to add to his record, and he will be given that chance, given that he’s under contract until the summer of 2029.

Ricardo Pepi – £31.1million

Here’s where Ricardo Pepi comes into the list if the Cottagers are able to secure a permanent deal for the talented striker, who has 39 goals and eight assists in 95 appearances.

It is pretty obvious as to why the Premier League side have been vying for his signature over so many transfer windows, but it does spark questions over the Cottagers’ current strikeforce.

Kevin – £34.5m

Another of Fulham’s most successful signings in recent windows is Kevin.

The Brazilian is one of the squad’s most exciting players, lighting up the left flank, but with just three goals and three assists so far, Silva will be waiting for him to truly explode.
