‘Should never play for this club again’ – West Ham fans lambast ‘diabolical’ starter after what he did vs Wolves

West Ham fans have ripped into centre-back Max Kilman for his woeful performance in their 3-0 defeat to bottom-of-the-table Wolves on Saturday.

Kilman cost West Ham £40million to sign from Wolves in the summer of 2024, but has struggled to live up to that price-tag ever since.

He played in every Premier League game for the East London club in his debut season, which is an impressive feat, but hardly much to boast about considering their 14th-placed finish with 62 goals conceded.

Kilman had a nightmare as they drew to Brighton last week, and he has been largely poor this season, with fans constantly slating him despite regular starts under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The West Ham boss picked him from the off once more as they travelled to Molineux in dire need of three points, but will surely reassess his place in the team following another awful performance.

Kilman’s season went from bad to worse on his old stomping ground as he was part of a Hammers defence that let in three goals against one of the statistically worst Premier League teams ever.

The 28-year-old was nowhere to be seen as Arias tapped home the opener, while his shoddy attempt at clearing the ball led to Wolves’ penalty as Magassa was left to lunge into Mane.

Wolves beat West Ham 3-0 as he ended the game with just two aerial duels won from 10 attempts, as well as zero accurate long balls from two attempts, and only one successful tackle and interception made respectively.

West Ham fans lay into Kilman for showing against his old club

Football Insider recently revealed that Crystal Palace want to sign Kilman in January as a long-term Marc Guehi replacement, and their fans would surely be happy to see him leave soon.

Taking to X to react to his performance at Molineux, one fan said: “Kilman is the biggest sabotage in football. The guy’s performances for us have been diabolical. Wanted us to get relegated from the start. Why?“

While another added: “I have heard people against booing players, we should be booing Kilman every single time he’s on the pitch, there’s no good reason to put him in a squad.”

And one fan said: “Kilman is an embarrassment. That is simple control and it bounces off his thigh. I’d rather play with 3 defenders than have him on the pitch anymore.”
